Cutting to the Core: Technology and the Common Core
Did you know that the word technology appears in the Common Core State Standards 20 different times? The Common Core Standards place a strong emphasis on technology skills in order to help ensure that students are ready for college or work after high school. We will discuss the standards that have a technology emphasis and share tools that teachers and students can use to master those standards. A variety of tools will be showcased, including Web2.0 tools, iPad apps, search sites and of course, Discovery Education Streaming tools and content.

My students use a variety of tools to demonstrate their learning of concepts taught, as well investigate their personal wonders during Genius Hour.
